I wonder why people are asking the front man of We The Kings to do covers in the first place. Is it, 'hey your original stuff is sorta lame why not sing Adele'? I can blame the Punk Goes Pop series for this epidemic but I like that and they use discretion on who performs what.
This cover of the sappy sentiment "Someone Like You", starts with great piano. Travis thank your folks for the piano lessons, and good job on the practicing cuz its fabulous. Until you hit that chorus. There is a small beagle that lives about 2 blocks away who howled upon hearing this and then dropped dead. Yeah that bad. As a side bar I can state clearly that I have honestly liked a few We The King songs, they're light and airy like Laughy Taffy only not as sweet. So instead of going insane over this travesty (get the pun? Travis/travesty) I'm gonna blame the 'alot of people' who asked him to do a cover song.
