Titus Andronicus Setlist 2014

A Perfect Union Of Band And Blog Asundered: We Are Not Enemies
A Perfect Union Of Band And Blog Asundered: We Are Not Enemies

We haven’t written about Titus Andronicus very much in years. Once a rock nyc favorite, a bad gig and a complete lack of new product, as well as one annoying venue after another making checking out the band unlikely, there hasn’t been much to say in too long. And whatever happened to Patrick Mr. Twiiter Stickles? He doesn’t do it all that much any more, does he. Plus, he grew back his beard and essentially became a rock and roll star. That guy I spent an afternoon hanging out with is now a big time indie rock and roll star.

Apparently, Patrick is working on a rock opera when he isn’t opening for Death Cab For Cutie, a lousy live band and one whom Titus should be able to blow off stage., or playing Shea or playing elder statesman of the indie rock scene.

TA’s problem is they needed to follow up Local Business in a hurry and they didn’t and that took them from having the best live set in the business to, well, not the best live set in the city. Local Business isn’t a bad album, I called it the second best album of 2012 and while I overestimated for sure, it had moments as great as you will ever hear. Just not enough of them. I blame Fucked Up, who influenced Patrick way too much.

Anyway, taken off brooklynvegan, here is Titus Andronicus setlist from memorial Day weekend in New Jersey. Note: two Bruce covers and plenty of new stuff. The two from Local Business are killer the one at the two thirds mark isn’t. I kinda miss the band, I’ve gotta see em again it’ been two long.
