Tight: The First Porn Rock And Roll Band

Is it worth mentioning that the actual, well, music, in  "Tight" a porn spoof of an all girl rock and roll band is completely terrible? I have no rporblem, I don't care, if porn wants to take on the rock and roll world, and find it refreshing that it isn't a groupies tell all story. But before you even think of it, you have to get the music down. It has to rock. And while I haven't heard much, what I have heard from "Tight" isn't up to much.

According to Damian Fanelli of Guitar World: "The film follows Monica Mayhem, Tuesday Cross, Alicia Andrews and Layla Labelle as they temporarily take leave of the adult industry and try to make it as musicians, sweating it out in the clubs under the management of one of the biggest names in the adult industry (and former Charlie Sheen Goddess), Bree Olson."

"Down to The Bottom"

The song, a blues number with an exothermic riff like a million before it and a million after, is alright for a porn movie, I guess. Though if the lead singer didn’t allow herself to be filmed having sex in front of a camera I would assume interest in the number would be non-existent.

In the mid 1970s, porn soundtrack music wasn’t that bad, they had a synth dodgy buzz to them and a Pavlov’s dog sort of effect. As a scene moved from set up to sex the track with the spoken word would be cut replaced by a track of heavy breaking and a moog synthesizer on a lip repeating a keyboard riff in 45 second (maybe less) segments over and over again.

New York Post apparently dubbed “Tight” the best rock spoof since Spinal tap. From the coming attractions, I doubt it. It seems to take itself seriously and there are few worst things than a serious porn flick. Unless its “The Devil In Miss Jones” forget about it. It don’t work. What I hope is “Tight” get their priorities straight. There is nothing sexier than a sex movie that explains why an attractive woman is acting in an entirely amoral manner. Nothing more boring than a married woman having consensual sex with her husband. “Tight” should be about four women having sex with  anybody, DJs, rock stars, PR people, record label execs, their manager, anybody, who can help them in their career.

I bet we don’t get it.
