Ever hear a song so bad it made you want to convert to another religion?  I’m gonna bail out of Christianity just to not have to celebrate Christmas- thus never having to hear this awful song again.

Bryce Avary has suddenly turned in to Jon Bon Jovi or something.  An odd yet horrible Christmas song being premiered on Alternative Press.  For fucks sake it has a clap along segment.  It is an 80’s hair band nightmare that gets worse as it progresses.  The oh oh Ho ho is idiotic and the entire premise sucks.  The bullshit fake laugh and applause at the end had me puking up egg nog

“I woke up on November 7 and decided I was going to announce that I would be releasing an original Christmas EP within a few weeks, even though I had yet to write a single song.  I gave myself three days to write three songs, and ten days to learn how to properly engineer a record because I had never fully done that myself. It was in fact madness,” says Bryce Avary.

“‘Christmas Madness’ is the first song I wrote on day one. It’s about the financial pressures that come with Christmas, and it’s all wrapped up in an old, worn out, sparkly Christmas pop song gift box. I played everything on the song except for the ripping sax solo that was played by Clay Pritchard–a long lost buddy of mine from high school.  It just wouldn’t have been the same without that sax.  Oh, that sweet, sweet sax.”

Needless to say Jesus has cancelled his birthday, Santa has called it a day and I’m going to pretend I never heard this. But seriously folks, this is one of the worse Christmas songs ever.. far worse than even Dominick The Donkey.  There are three other songs on this EP “O Holy Night”, “E;f Creep” and “Grapevine Tree”… we can hope they’re better than Madness.

We love Bryce too- Hell, we interviewed him in a restaurant lobby back in 2010, so it’s rough to find a song so bad by a perfomer we love to promote.  Maybe next time.   Listen here.
