The Doors 'Unhinged' by John Densmore

So there is obvious tension in the surviving members of the doors.  John Densmore is having his say in a new write for Amazon called "Unhinged" in which he basically squeals about every mock injustice he has endured as the good name of The Doors gets slithered into the gutter.

Which is crap.  He gripes allot in his new book (from all accounts) and well decades and decades later does anyone really want to hear the sobbing of a former band great?  Not really.  Most people want to hear about the antics and mechanics of 'classic' bands not the sour grapes of 'been done wrong'.  Especially so far out from when it all happened.  Why the huge delay?

In "Unhinged" Densmore will tell all about his dissatisfaction with the 'Doors of the 21st Century' tour as well as the selling of Doors material for automobile ads.

Also covered are such gems as:
How Jim Morrison threatened to smash a car onstage if Buick used a Doors song in a commercial;

*Being sued by his former band mates for $40 million, more than they collectively had ever made;

*The opposing lawyer's bizarre attempts to label him a communist, anarchist & al-Qaeda supporter;

*How testimony from Police drummer Stewart Copeland changed the trial;

*Getting tossed in the paddy wagon with Bonnie Raitt after a protest to protect old-growth trees;

*How even years after the Doors' success, his excitement when he got to carry his hero Coltrane drummer Elvin Jones' cymbals to his car;

*How Morrison's father, a career Navy man, was thwarted in his career ambitions by his son's rock star antics, but how he sided with his late son in court.

If this book were a movie it would be direct to dvd.  Sad isn't it?  Let it go already.
