The Christmas Album Round Up! Couldn't Miss This One This Year…?

The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year – Scott Weiland – Fully orchestrated, essentially faithful, takes on the standards.Hurt because… well, because his voice is creepy. Might sell to the fanbase if he has one. Grade: C

A Holiday Carole – What happened? Did she lose a bet? The member of the tribe Carole King King, throws in "A Chanukah Prayer" like its just walked out of West Side Story (with some poor Grandson sharing a verse) and keeps it secular for the most part. Her "I Got My Love To Keep Me Warm"  is painful/ Grade: C

Christmas – Michael Buble – The best of an exceedingly rancid lot because 1) Cabaret goes hand in hand with redundant and b) Buble has the best voice. Having said that the pace is deadly and  "Christmas (Baby Please come Home)" should be taken out at dawn and shot. Grade: B-

Tennessee Christmas – Lindi Ortega – Actually, this is the best of a bad lot. Four Christmas songs, all country, all lovely, three originals and her "Blue Christmas" is to die for.  Grade: B+

Under The Mistletoe – Justin Bieber – Some original, lots of covers, a healthy handful of guests and with a nice r&b flavor. The fan base should be happy. Grade: B-

A Very She And Him Christmas – She And Him – I know I said I liked "New Girl" now… I don't like it that much. This is so twee, you want to smack it and their version of "Baby It's Cold Outside" pales in comparison to Zooey's duet with Will Farrell in "Elf". Grade: C

It Snowed – Meaghan Smith – Ah yes, whimsy. Smith is inches away from a career and this will not help the cause. Grade: C+

Glee the Music – The Christmas Album – Wow, Glee lost its cool kinda fast. This is harmless enough and finally a cover of "Christmas Wrapping". Grade: B
