Quick what's the last tune you heard by The Black Keys? Yeah, "Lonely Boy" is getting pretty damn old isn't it? They're busy with legal stuff though.
The suit was filed in a New York court against Pinnacle Entertainment, owners of L'Auberge Casino Resort Lake Charles and Manhattan Production Music claiming the company ripped off their song "Howlin' For You" in a recent ad. If you recall they were flipping out on Home Depot as well. OH Wait! and Pizza Hut.
Pinnacle denied any wrong doing at the time: "We bought a licensed musical interpretation of the song," later amending that statement to say that they bought "a licensed track inspired by 'Howlin' for You' by the Black Keys."
The band, however, claims that the casino has committed "blatant and purposeful infringement."
The band is hot on the belief that everyone is ripping them off. Not unlike the school nerd who thinks everyone is copying his test paper. The problem is pretty soon this band is going to be more famous for its paranoid lawsuit than there music. Speaking of music…
Where is the new music? These guys were the new Messiah just a year ago and now? Well its not new material. Just like fun their milking there hit till the udders explode. The band will be performing at The Grammys and The New Orleans Jazz Fest, oh yeah, and a court of law.
