The Academy Is… played a new song live acoustically in Macy's in Chicago IL. The tune "Chicago" is fabulous.
William Beckett was adorable as ever, and I've always loved him live. The tune really shows off his voice and he's really into the song. He looks like he's having fun and is really emotional when he sings. The lyrics are wonderful and thought-provoking. The pureness of just the simple guitar and his beautiful voice really give the song an edge.
I can't judge the song properly until I hear it in it's intended format, but I felling confident I will like it. To see them back and in action, currently recording their fourth full length is really exciting. This live performance just makes me more anxious to hear how much they've changed since Fast Times At Barrington High.
