What exactly do you get when you mix two bands who are more show than sound? Well you get this "Get Up" a collaboration of half haired AV nerd Skrillex and your pappys hardcore band KoRn.
The biggest problem here is not the collaboration. Its the fact that two bands I absolutely hate work so incredibly well together. The song is outstanding. Its unnerving and uncomfortable. Its disturbing but in a great way. It just feels dangerous and unsteady.
Where KoRn often comes across as Slipknots ugly brother and Skrillex as DeadMau5's wanna be little brother- together, peanut butter and jelly
Two elements so horrible alone work fantastically together. Does this change my opinion on either? No, not at all but it does show that some collaborations are brilliant.
