Must See Concert: Rob Drabkin To Play Arlene's Grocery, Thursday, October 13th At 7pm

Denver's Rob Drabkin is one gifted guy. Whether solo, where he can resemble a less weed influenced Dave Matthews, or with a band, where he is a Allman Brothersy Southern boogieer with aspirations to Elton John's melodies.

His last album, 2009's On These Heavy Feet, is pretty damn good and thew news that he is  playing locally (though only with his drummer)  is nothing but good news Rob is not just a rocker, on this album he covers jazz, folk, he has even been known to delve into the American songbook.

A 7pm set by Rob Drabkin at one of the best room's in the city, Arlene's Grocery (on Stanton, right off Ludlow Street), is an event and one I don't plan to miss. But if you can't get there on time, Rob is also playing a little later at The National Underground 9pm, 159 E. Houston Street
