Week 42:

Health: Very excited for the CBGB’s Festival this week, I was out of commission with a bad cold (a real disappointed, I went to the doctor essentially certain I was gonna die any second only to be dismissed without even strep throat) and missed just about everything. Especially painful: I missed the “Acoustic Anarchy” show rock nyc was a promotional partner on. I swear being sick is an insight into what happens to the world when you die: the world just keeps spinning without you, in case you were wondering.

Live: I did manage to see Fleetwood Mac on the Monday and was a little disappointed in it, and heavied up on concerts: Billy Idol (who I missed during the Fest), Neil Diamond, Alt J, Jack white, Lucinda Williams… And, we proudly got the top performers for Jingle Ball right on the money! Sunday I caught the six acts on Times Square so I guess that counts, but last week was a lost opportunity.

Sports: Will somebody please let Geno Smith out of his misery but then what? Man the Jets suck bad and hard and long.

More Health: We’re having an ebola here in the US. So this how it ends not with a bang but with a vaccine. I can’t wait for the rappers to sort rhymin’  with it.

Recorded: Not a great week, it belonged to Allo Darlin’ though I’ve already moved on with my life. Just an FYI, We Are Scientists are better live than on record.

CBGB’s Fest: I can’t believe  missed Billy Idol and Fly Panda in the same week. Wow.
