Doncker gets his groove on

Doncker gets his groove on

Week 11

Live: The week belonged to Tomas Doncker’s True Groove All Stars, their two hour concert at The Cutting Room Tuesday night set the standard for all! A perfect compendium of real soul music that never stopped moving. Meanwhile, Lorde act her age if not older, at a simple, unadorned straight ahead gig at the dreaded Roseland that did her nothing but favors.

Recorded: The worst of the past three weeks but not terrible. Let’s hear it for Elbow and Young Money, both of whom released very good albums.

Personal: Stressed out vacation that I’ll have to cut short.

Weather: One warm day in the past week, the never ending winter continues.

News: I am hoping against hope that the Malaysian Airline was taken by aliens and the 200 plus souls aboard are being treated like honored guest somewhere.

Sports: Unbelievably enpugh, the Knicks are three games out of the playoffs.
