US Top 10 Albums 8-8-15

I was listening to DS2 again and maybe I underestimated it, my problem with rap is the aggressive silliness of the sex drugs and money world has grown so old, bad lyrics throw me out of sound I really like: “flip flops I just had some bitches and I made ’em lip lock, I just took a piss and I seen codeine coming out, We got purple Actavis, I thought it was a drought”

These Days: Saturday, June 25th, 2015

Apparently people don’t get out much in LA -not one but two riots occurred as fans tried to get into a free Future concert. Future?? “Reports said some 700 fans lined up outside the club, which has a capacity of 500, with the hopes of nabbing a wristband for free admittance into the show. Scores of fans spilled out into the street and blocked traffic, prompting L.A. sheriff’s to shut down a portion of the Sunset Strip at around 3 p.m. They moved it to the House Of Blues, and that was also cancelled. Between the two, this is probably the greatest double of the year. It is like what we thought Kanye West and Kendrick Lemar were gonna do at MSG when kendrick forgot to show. This is so great it beats out Governors Ball for show of the week. Webster Hall on Tuesday June 3rd. It should be epic.

I’ll say two things about NEEDTOBREATH, I keep forgetting they are born again Christians and I am still listening to their album with various degrees of pleasure. I’ll see this about Iggy -I underestimated the album earlier this week. I’ll say this about SZA, I overestimated the album when it was first released.

The Drake Setlist 2013 Annotated And Spotified!

Ever since I caught Drake on SNL I’ve been hunkering to see him on stage and this set list is tasty indeed. I don’t know Drake’s material as well as I know Kweey’s so if I seem a little vague that is why. But I do know I am shocked he isn’t performing one of his greatest songs, “Over My Dead Body”.
