Birth Defects put the stage on fire, Three Common invited everyone to join them on stage, and Corners’ set was a crowd surfing party… I wanted the festival to last at least a week, I was just getting in the rhythm after these three days! Paul didn’t play the nostalgia vibe too much, of course there were plenty of old songs, but some new ones too, and his dynamism on stage and simplicity while talking to the huge crowd was so comforting. From my seat, he looked like a tiny ant at the bottom of the Grand Canyon, but he ignited the sea of people, and the sing-alongs were heart warming

The weekend is over and I have heard more live music than some people will in their lifetime! I hardly exaggerate, my head is stuffed with so much music, that my brain has made a bizarre soup of everything I have heard
It was a fun indoor-outdoor day, with way too many choices, but how can you choose when you don’t even know what the hell all these bands are playing?
The music was extremely layered and filled with exotic rhythms and dance beats, at times borderline disco – one of their songs almost reminded me something borrowed from a Blondie track – with a few sprinkles of different things, dreamy and moody vocals, glittering synth, and lots of beats.
They probably plan their shows as an aerobic session, watching the six of them who couldn’t stay a second at the same place. It was particular true for frontman Sam Martin (or may be there is no real frontman in this band), who was the most agitated one, jumping around like a jack-in-the-box.
Every Manhattan Murder Mystery show I have attended has been some epic episode of chaos, with poignant melodies buried in loudness. The songs are brutal and surge at you while grasping you by the guts, the music is loud and fuzzy, the lyrics shouted with rage and anguish, and soon everyone is intensely into it
