Its really some of the most idiotic lyrics of all time. It did give teenaged boys the ability to shout 'Stroke Stroke' which we all know had different meaning. The problem here other than the fact that Billy Squier is just God awful is that if you take him out of the picture the music is actually pretty cool. Great thump but add vocals and it turns to pure garbage. This saddens me.
There is so much awful music to chose from who is the idiot who gave this guy this melody? Squier was actually given another great rock melody which he opted to destroy, that being "Lonely Is The Night", if he just never got to the studio, the music could have sustained. But that 70s wanna be anthem singing just adds a cheese level no one could endure.
Squiers video portray him as some foxy beast but the fact is he isn't, and he wasn't. He was just another dark haired curly guy with tight pants. Dime a dozen in the day, right next to that dude from REO Speedwagon.
Granted this isn't as funny as the "Wheel In The Sky", but its just as horrible.
