Slash Says That Scott Weiland Wants To Reunite With Velvet Revolver Because He Was Fired From Stone Temple Pilots

A few days ago, Slash was interviewed on Minnesota radio station 93X, and among various things he dropped this news when asked about working with Velvet Revolver again: Scott Weiland has been fired from Stone Temple Pilots. He didn’t elaborate much on it, the interviewer was quite surprised by the comment, and last time I have checked Wikipedia, Weiland was still among the current members of STP!

On his end, Weiland has been open to reunite with Velvet Revolver, as he told Rolling Stone:

‘I am completely open to it, and I know there are other guys in the band that are completely open to it’,… ‘I think it’s the perfect time for Velvet Revolver to get back together, Slash has done some great things, and I look forward to the opportunity to seeing him on my left and seeing Duff McKagan’.

So Slash thinks that the reason why Weiland is talking about this Vevet Revolver reunion is that he is looking for a job!

If you are lost as I am with these bands' stories, let’s just say that Weiland went back to STP in 2008 after being fired by Slash, Duff McKagan, Matt Sorum and Dave Kushner, because of his ‘erratic behavior’, and Velvet Revolver have since tested out numerous singers without finding a replacement.

At the beginning of this year, Velvet Revolver reunited with vocalist Scott Weiland for a charity show, and since Weiland has had the idea to get back with the band, which made Slash to comment on this same Minnesota 93X radio, exclaiming ‘He’s out of his mind’

And now we have this bombshell, Slash thinks that Weiland wants to reunite with Velvet Revolver because he was fired from STP! Poor guy, nobody wants him.
