Sam Smith channelled

I Don’t Mind – Usher, Juicy J – Very catchy r&b pop track, promises well for Usher’s next album if he ever releases, though I head the live show wasn’t that great – B+

Stay with Me – Darkchild Version – Sam Smith And Mary J Blige – Nice to hear MJB take a verse – A-

Feel Right – Mark Ronson, Mystical – Not bad, Southern rapper Mystical has a great voice, he sounds like James Brown. It’s time to assume Ronson has rebounded – B+

#canteven – The Neighbourhood, French Montana – New r&b stew from L.A. – B

Home – Naughty Boy, Sam Evans – Woah, a little early for Sam Smith homages though Naughty Boy is one of the first of the Rudimental-Disclosure school of EDM pop songs out of the gate – B+

Start A Fire – Lil Wayne, Christian Milian – “It’s a cold world I stay warm inside her”… a sex ballad from Weezy! – B

Pages Of Gold – Flo Morrissey – Lovely winding melody line that veers off tune purposefully – B

Shake The Earth – Elephante – clever clever arrangement, the latest trick is to use technology to sound liek you don’t till the synths kick in – B

Gold Coins – Charli XCX – Not bad, but you’d expect a little more kick – B

Santa Tell Me – Ariana Grande – God, I hope we don’t have to deal with Ariana the pop star for too much longer – D+

Divine Sorrow – Avicii, Wycliffe Jeans – This is too overcooked by far – C+
