It is not because we haven’t mentioned them for quite some time that Saint Motel is resting! The Los Angeles quartet has a new song, ‘Honest Feedback’, that was premiered on Nylon Magazine, and at the first guitar riff that kicks off the song, reminiscent of their previous galloping power gems like ‘Do Everything now’ off their ‘For Play’ album, you know you are listening to a Saint Motel’s tune.
As always with Saint Motel, it is a fun ride, and if the kind-of retro sound doesn’t totally explode into an insane and wild party that they always put on during their live shows, the song continues to show their inventiveness and unique way to mix humor and knack for infectious poppy and cheerful melodies.
Since the end of February, A/J Jackson, Aaron Sharp, Greg Erwin and Dak have embarked in a national spring tour, which started in San Francisco and will end in Austin TX, for several SXSW performances.
