
Through our friendship with Roger And Cowan, rock nyc was invited to be a partner at the Cake Shop Acoustic Anarchy Gig on October 9th. Having hung out just about every night from 1979 to 1980, when I finally got a job and couldn’t spend all my time there, there is nothing I understand much better than the spirit of CBGBs. They were among the happiest years of my life, a true carousel of sex, drugs and rock and roll, while I was still in my early 20s. I saw x ray Specs all four nights of their four night residency, five nights for Richard Hell And The Voidoids (with my friend Jahn xavier on bass!), the Dead Boys, Stiv Bators lived in the room above mine at the Paramount. We’d share a cap home, him always with a girl.
So we are really excited to be strategic promotional partners on this.
