Was it well deserved? Or was it a way to attract attention? One thing is sure, this girl does not beat around the bush, when rapper Azealia Banks wants to say something, she says it. She took on Twitter over the weekend to fight with old English rockers The Stone Roses while she was performing at Australia’s Future Music festival:
‘Big apologies on behalf of the stone roses to my fans at the festival today. My ex tour manager made a pact with the stone roses saying they'd sabotage my set because I fired him.. And they decided to check their equipment behind me during my set. Fuck those old saggy white n***as stone roses. I wish them nothing but excrement and death.’
Okay, okay, the guys did their sound check while she was performing and she wishes them death? And this conspiracy theory that her ex manager made a pact with them sounds a little excessive to say the least. And she continued with a few other charming tweets:
‘Wow! I must really fucking be a superstar… You've got an established band trying to sabotage my lil rap bitch shine’
‘Wow a bunch of old white men trying to bully a young black girl…. What the fuck else is new in this world ???’
Whatever happened she is just lame to make 'a black girl versus white guys' issue of all this, this is getting so old!
But is there more to the story? An Herald Sun article, that has now been removed for obscure reasons, allegedly reported:
‘Witnesses claim Ms Banks stopped mid-set to confront the Stone Roses, when the fight occurred.
It is alleged lead vocalist of the Stone Roses, 50 year old Ian Brown, was restrained by security after coming within two feet of Ms. Banks.
'The lead singer was screaming threats at her, saying ‘I want to f***ing kill, you f***ing n**ga’,” said a member of staff from Future Music Festival’.
So, if it is true, that’s not cool either, but she started it and this is not her first fight with a band. I'd want to know what she screamed at them first, as this could explain the horrible artcover of her new single, this girl is all loud mouth!
