PiL, Spring 2012

Public Image Ltd, the Johnny Lydon follow up band to the Sex Pistols, got big- but not huge.  They had stand out songs that work even to this day.  But as with all good things.. kaput. Done.

Now PiL, as well as a modified Sex Pistols have toured as of late.  Actually its more like Johnny has stayed in the spot light as best as you can with no new material.

We've talked about Mr Rotten here numerous times and always with kind words.  We are not the status quo.  Most media is a bit tough on the man, we chose not to.  Both Iman and myself having personal interactions with the bloke and found him to be rather top notch,

News from the front today indicates that PiL, will release a new album in the Spring of 2012.  The band reunited in 2009 and toured of course but in response to why its taken so long for a proper recording to be prepared Lydon said

“I was always full of ideas, but I had to wait until I had enough money to release an album. Everybody thinks I made such a fortune with the Sex Pistols. Well, unfortunately that is not true, to make this record we had to tour extensively for two years.”

Ears up.. this could be great.  It could also be horrible.  Can a man who's done so very much still pull off something as brilliant as the song in the video below?  We shall see.
