A week ago, punk hardcore band OFF! released a video with Jack Black, for their song ‘Over Our Heads’, and the clip had already gone overboard with its weird scenario: Keith Morris wanted to skydive with his bandmates for his birthday, and Jack Black, as ex-martial arts master Gary Steele, was playing the mad instructor while Steven McDonald had decided to do the big jump on acid. Predictably, the result turned into a gory disaster with Black and Morris as the sole survivors, lost in the forest at the mercy of a large bear….
On Thursday, they released the second part of the story, ‘Meet Your God’, via Noisey, with the bear still running after Black and Morris…soon Black ends up eating his own guts and dying in Morris ‘arms, and… oh why am I even bothering summarizing this insanity? Can I say that Black and Morris look totally ridiculous while fighting this fake bear? And this bear trophy at the end is probably gonna make PETA totally angry….
Of course, since OFF!’s song are very short, they make complete little movies around them, but this is just kids’ play for grown men,… or the whole thing may just have been a good excuse to announce that OFF! is playing Coachella this year? ‘At least this is a possibility’ says Morris….
‘Over Our Heads’ and ‘Meet Your God’ were directed by Jimmy Hayward, so watch them back to back if you have 10 minutes to waste.
