As Alyson Camus noted in her "Not With the Band" column, Christmas week is not the time for new music. I checked on Tuesday 26th, no music, then I checked on Wednesday, 28th… still no new music. Wow, I feel so deserted.
So I picked up the Black Keys latest on ITunes, readying myself for the March concert on MSG and a coupla spins in and I think it isn't half the album Brothers was. And Spotify finally have the Flo Rida collaboration with Sia and I prefer it to his hit "Feelin' Good" so there. But I love Sia. Her David Guetta collaboration "Titanium" was way and above the best thing about the disappointing Nothing But The Beat.
Otherwise, I'm picking up stuff I missed on Spotify. The Submarines EP, Charli Baltimore real good disco number, Attack Attack post hardcore track, Xenia four songs, punk the New criminals and I am sure a ton I've missed.
Why? Because Spotify have decided not to preview a just released list, alphabetically by band name. The jerks.
