1. High On Sunday 51 – Aimee Mann – Off her last great album, knocking on a decade ago., a song of adultery and desire and a comparison that works all too well: heroin. The shaky morality is a real pleasure and the encroaching disaster sexy.

2. Wild Ones – Flo rida feat Sia – Sia is good solo and better on hip hop songs, she has the ability to impart a depth of emotion, the song might not deserve at all. This song would be good any way, Sia makes it great.

3. Highway Star – Deep Purple – My friend Marianne O'Hagen used to dance the hell of this song,… in 1975!

4. Die – Girls – This song owes so much to Deep Purple, especially the opening verse which is essentially a rewrite of the song above.

5. Just Like Honey – The Submarines – Excellent cover of the Jesus And Mary Chain song. Did I ever mention that I interviewed JAMC, they had a reputation for being difficult but were very nice to me.

6. Machine Gun – Charlie Baltimore – Wow, Charlie mixes her always great rapping to a dub steppy bass heavy track.

7. Lonely Boy – The Black Keys – Improved once I heard it on SNL.

8. The Motivation – Attack Attack – Ratatat drums and post hardcore production.

9. On Haunted Hill – The new criminals – A Vincent Price sample? Good for them.

10. Sing You Home – Xenia
