It is a weird thing how things like this one can surface almost 20 years after they happen. A video of a Nirvana concert at Cow Palace, Daly City, CA from December 1991 (a new year eve show apparently) was just uploaded with the mention ‘RARE’ and, even though the video was filmed on the side of the stage and is not of the best quality, it is quite a spectacle.
After performing the song ‘Territorial Pissings’, Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl embarked in one of the most destructive behaviors I have seen on stage, throwing guitars in the air, dismantling the drum set and smashing drums against each other, using their guitar neck as a tennis racket, destroying the place for the crowd’s immense joy.
I have never seen Nirvana live, I know it was a sort of routine for them, but wow, you don’t see these kinds of stupid things anymore.
