I’m more than thrilled to be seeing one of the top country gals in the country, Miranda Lambert, at Madison Square Garden on Saturday March 28th. I’ve never seen her live though I became aware of the hard headed gal with her third album Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and have at least quite liked everything she has done ever since. Even Pistol Annies. Even when she is singing back up to her husband Blake Shelton, and has there ever been a duo with a better sense of tempo than these two: they belong together.
The setlist isn’t bad either, more than half from the past two albums and I am a big Platinum fan so I don’t mind that. Plus a ZZ Top and a Merle Haggard cover to take you home. I coulda done with a couple more from from Ex-Girlfriend but it’ll do if it has to.
