I wrote this (here) about Muse at MSG in 2013: “The set reached its zenith with an overwhelming “Stockholm Syndrome” with the pyramid screens becoming a bank of televisions and closing down on the band. This is a very good song in a very good show. Much better than Coldplay have managed, Muse lose the power of a frontman but gain the unity of a band and everything is at service to an audience.”
And I maintain the opinion, they are a better than likely hard rock band, a better than you expect, but a little on prickly side and this setlist might have problems selling Arenas in the US (forget stadiums). Where is “Madness” for one obvious question? And while there best live moment is here “Stockholm Syndrome”, it assumes too much on the audience. What is “Agitated” doing here?
Still, Muse bring it live, “Psycho” is a good song, and personally, it has been a long two years…
