Morrissey B Side To Lou Reed Tribute Song

Moz

By now you know that the Morrissey version of ‘Satellite of Love’ was his little tribute to Lou Reed.  Lou sure did influence alot of people, and I am grateful for that although I cant stand him as a performer.

Morrissey had stated, “He has been there all of my life. He will always be pressed to my heart. Thank God for those, like Lou, who move within their own laws, otherwise imagine how dull the world would be.”

Sort of a flowery sentiment but hey, why speak ill of the dead.   The cool news here is that Moz is releasing ‘Satellite’ as a 12 inch vinyl picture  on January  28th!

The B side is better than than the A that’s for sure,  ‘You’re Gonna Need Someone on Your Side’ as well as live versions of ‘Vicar in a Tutu’ and ‘All You Need Is Me’ and on the picture disc, ‘You Say You Don’t Love Me’.
Morrisseys book ‘Autobiography’ is now available in the US and I am dying to hear who has read through this wordy inkfest from our man Moz.  So far, it’s either loved or shelved by everyone with a copy.  It’s a challenge to keep up with that’s for sure.  Morrissey tends to over elaborate or completely veer of course.  Love him anyway, really love the picture disc idea despite the Reed motivation.
We need either a new tour (just a few dates, nothing huge..ok just 1 date in Connecticut, the rest of you can scram) or a new release.  We know there is new material- give it up son!
