More On The Stones At Coachella -by Alyson Camus

As rock nyc reported (along with everybody else in the world) last thursdaythere are rumors floating on message boards and blogs about The Rolling Stones headlining the Coachella festival in 2011!

According to some people talking about the big annual fest, The Stones would have been very close to finalize a deal for $5 million, and this would have been $1.5 million more than what Paul McCartney received for playing Coachella in 2009.
But, unfortunately for all the Stones fans, the examiner.com is reporting that their publicist has denied the rumor. May be $5 million was not enough for the old rockers!
Coachella is a three-day music and arts festival happening during April, in Indio in the Inland Empire valley, and if you want to have a taste of the Californian desert at this time of the year, be prepare because the temperatures are usually in the 100’s. Furthermore, it’s crowded, the traffic is insane and camping is very often the only option as the hotels around fill up very fast.

Last year, the organizers made history by deciding to opt against making single day tickets available, obliging any purchaser to pay full price for the 3 days.
The Stones would have been the biggest Coachella ever, and if the organizers want $5 million acts like them, there are big chances that the prices will go up and the 3-day obligatory pass will be maintained.
