Michael Jacksons Interior? One Million Bucks

This is one of the saddest things I've ever read.

The contents of the late King of Pops final home "Neverland Ranch", sold at auction for 1 million dollars.  That's it.  $1 million.   You would think that years of wealth and fame would warrant millions of dollars in collectible- yet that seems not the case.

We have people willing to spend $100k on John Lennon's tooth, yet the entire content of a home is only a few times more than that.  Seems odd doesn't it?

A kitchen chalkboard where Jackson’s children wrote “I love daddy,” which sold for $5,000, and an armoire upon which Jackson wrote a message to himself on the mirror that fetched $25,750.

For crying out loud the jacket he wore in the video for "Thriller" sold for $1.8 million dollars earlier this year.  What is the reason for the entire content of a home for selling so very low?

Was it poor management by the Julien Auctions firm who was commissioned for this event?  Well they were the nice guys who let fans drop gifts at the auction site…so weird, something really isn't right here.

“Michael Jackson has the greatest fans in the world. I can see why he lived for them,” Julien said. “They came out every day this week to bring gifts. It’s unlike anything we’ve ever seen as it relates to a celebrity and their fans.”

These gifts will be delivered back to the family along with a strangely small check.
