Maroon 5 Says He Hates The Roxy On National TV, The Roxy Offers Him His Dressing Room!

So it turned out that the Maroon 5 frontman is a moron? As if their music wasn’t already dreadful – I mean this ‘Moves Like Jagger’ song and its godawful chorus were so unnecessary – but Adam Levine has also to be a pretentious prick? In the most bizarre way, The Voice’s judge went on some where-does-this-comes-from rant against a West Hollywood club when he was critiquing Cassadee Pope’s performance of a Michelle Branch song. He went on spiting his hatred for the Roxy, the legendary club nested on the Sunset strip, by saying:

‘We used to open for Michelle Branch, and I remember we opened for her at the Roxy and they didn't even give us a dressing room. I hate the Roxy. I'll never play there again!’

Where do I start with this abomination? First, ‘they didn’t even give us a dressing room’ when his band was so unknown that they were the opener in a relatively small place? Then, I can’t believe the arrogance of the guy, did he want a red carpet too? He may as well think he is a girl who requires a powder room.

But he was not even done as he continued with: ‘The Roxy's horrible; don't ever go there. They screwed us over, and now they're paying for it.’

They are paying for what and how are they paying? The Roxy is still operating and hosts great shows, have you gone insane Levine? But the Roxy took is the cool way, put this hilarious line on the front marquee: ‘ADAM LEVINE YOUR DRESSING ROOM IS READY’, and Nic Adler, the club owner, explained:

‘Maroon 5 played the Roxy at least five times, [Adam's previous band] Kara's Flowers played there like every weekend. I use Maroon 5 as an example of a hard-working band that played the Sunset Strip and played the clubs and blew up. And so when he said that…you know, the Roxy has no control over dressing rooms. If Michelle Branch is playing, it's Michelle Branch's show. And if her management says, 'I want Michelle in this dressing room and I want her band in this other dressing room,' we're at the mercy of the headliner. For a band to think dressing rooms define how we treat bands is crazy.’

It says it all, Levine used to play there every weekend, his band went massive, and instead of being grateful he is fuming about not getting a dressing room even though the club wasn’t even responsible for it? Honestly, what was Levine expecting with this rant? He is an idiot and looks like a diva whose head has become so big, it will not fit anymore inside the Roxy. On the other side it’s perfect PR for the club!

Or could it be good PR for both? Yahoo Music is reporting that Rozzi Crane, a band signed up to Levine’s label, 222 Records, is playing the Roxy next week…. A little strange isn’t it? But naahh, Levine would never pass for a pompous fool to promote another band, even a band on his own label!
