The Mandy Moore album to get is Wild Hope, a flat about break-up masterpiece which she hasn't come close to before or since. It details her break-up with Zach Brach and I had just gone through the most painful break-up of my life and I really got it. I saw at Irving Plaza on the 2007 and thought she was OK, nothing great.
Which leads me to her marriage with Ryan Adams, who I have heard is one of the biggest assholes in the business… though people do change. Be that as it may, Many's follow up to Wild Hope was the terrible Amanda Leigh, so if Mandy wants to write with her husband, well, who is to blame her?
According to contactnews.com, she told CBS News: "I'm probably going to work with my husband on this album… We've been writing a little bit together. He has a studio, so I definitely want to make my record there…
"He certainly inspires me. There's tremendous influence right now around the house – from the music I've been introduced to, and being very happy and in a healthy, happy relationship. I think that still garners a lot of material to write about."
"There's a lot to say and a lot that's happened to me in the last three or so years since the last record's come out. So I have been writing a lot and it's definitely going to be an intense, emotional record. I'm excited about it. I'm excited to get into the studio and start recording."
Ryan's last album was pretty lousy as well, so perhaps they can bring out the best in each other.
