Rise Records has a new hero to back. Man Overboard yet another amazing New Jersey band (wtf is in the water there?) has just released a new 7″ ep “The Absolute Worst” is streaming the single on their Facebook page. Here’s the gimmick you have to ‘like’ them to hear them.
Seems unfair doesnt it? Well dont worrry its absolutely worth the click. “Pop Punk” is alive and well.
I’m interested in seeing them live which shouldn’t be tough considering the rigorous tour schedule. Upon return from a Euro tour they have 1 day to do laundry and they’re back out criss crossing the country with Senses Fail. The tour grand finale (at this point) being a stint at Bamboozle in NJ. Home again so to speak.
It takes alot to stand out in this genre right now. Everyone with a guitar and a dream is up to bat in hopes of scoring big. Not that many are worth the hype. Man Overboard are worth more hype then they’re currently getting.
