The Lillith Fair Returns: Run For Your Life…

You know that old women are from venus, men are from mars stuff? Well Sarah McLaughlin is from Lifetime Movies. She gives feminism a bad name, actually she gives music a bad name, actually she gives everything a bad name.

A talentless ,whining quasi -folk wretch who is a one woman crusade on behalf of misogynists.com, she gives self reliance a bad name. And her Lillith Fair was a ridoiculous femme positive piece of extended bullshit. All incense, peppermint and woman power as though the past thirty years hadn’t happened. The  band line ups doesn’t read poorly: Sheryl Crow, Dixie Chicks, Christina Aguilera, Sinead O’Connor, Eykah Badu, Liz Phair and Fiona Apple. They don’t read so great either. I love some of these artists alone but together they are they are so horrible it’s painful. It’s like being injected with estrogen, it’s like hanging out with your girlfriend and her posse if you’re not gay. It is the pits. from 1997 to 1999 they were a horror on the lanscape, a pre-millinium break down.

You know how Helen Bach hates female singers? This is why.

Well, they are back in 2010 and I consider it completely unforgiviable.

Dates aren’t set yet but the markets covered looks a little bit like this:

Boston
Calgary, Alberta
Chicago
Dallas
Denver
Los Angeles
Minneapolis, MN
Montreal
New York
Philadelphia
Portland, OR
Seattle
