Dave Longstreth and Marianne Faithfull: The story they don’t want you to know

Ok, Ok, it’s essentially a lame excuse to post a picture of Marianne Faithfull in her underwear but it does have a kernel of truth to it! Both Marianne and the Dirty Projectors will be part of Lincoln Center’s annual American Songbook Series at the Allen Room of Frederick P. Rose Hall.

First up is Marianne on Januray 13th, 2010. Dirty Projectors are expected February 19th, 2010, and the only absolute no possible miss I will quote directly from New York Times: “On Jan. 27, Hal Willner will produce a one-night musical exploration of the David Lehman book “A Fine Romance,” featuring musicians like Rufus Wainwright and Bill Frisell performing songs by Irving Berlin, George Gershwin and other Jewish songwriters.”

So that was Frissel’s guitar and Wainwright’s voice and piano on Gershwin’s songs? Wow -count me in…
