So what’s it like to be the teenage daughter of rock and roll royalty, that’s the question? And here’s another, how does the viciously misogynistic world of Weezy respond to having a daughter of an age where, in different circumstances, he’d be feeding them cough syrup and sodomizing them in the living room before giving them the boot.
Regina Carter (Lil Wayne’s teenage daughter) has joined forces with Birdman’s teenage daughter Bria Williams and written a novel called “Paparzzi Princesses” about being famous by proxy: “The plot centers around two teenagers named Kyla Jones and Promise Walker, who both deal with the ups and downs of being “unintentionally famous” because of their parents.”
The good stuff is Rihanna following you oin Instagram, the bad having your cell taken away for over use, so I got a feeling this ain’t the tell all of all time. Lil Wayne said: “”I’ve got to be honest. It’s inspiring to see what these girls have done. It wasn’t easy, and they did it all by themselves. ‘Proud’ doesn’t even begin to describe how me and the ‘Birdman’ feel. I can’t wait for everybody else to experience their story.”
Hmmmm, so this ain’t no tell all, Carter?: “The book is about two teenage girls who have celebrity fathers and they’re trying to grow up with a normal life but it gets tough because they have friends that aren’t real, they have chores they have to do and they’re not set up to because they’re very spoiled. We have our ups and downs in the book.”
There must be a great story about being the scion of the rich and famous but this ain’t gonna be that and while, admittedly, how far is a fourteen year old gonna go? Perhaps a little further than this.
The novel itself, this is what the girls had to say about writing it with author Karyn Langhorne Folanr “We told the stories and we embellished them. She just wrote down the stories — we told them to her and added on to them.”
Oh I see so that’s how writing works. I did not know that.
