So no matter how much Elvis Costello might deny it, we all have our favorites and Elvis’ is Tom Waits even though musically it doesn’t often show its head. Only the end of the end of Costello infallibity, Mighty Like A Rose, owes him a huge debt. But, given his career, Waits get a healthy FIVE ALBUM PICKS. That’s more than Stevie Wonder. A risable conclusion by any standards.
