Liam Gallagher And Dave Sitek? Uh Oh, Beady Eye Go Experimental On Us

I realize I am a chorus of one here, but I vastly prefer Liam Gallagher's Beady Eye to brother Noel's High Flying Bird. Different Gear, Still Speeding. Nothing by Noel's post-Oasis career beats out "Four Letter Word".

And so I have been easily excited by news of Liam's sophomore effort but here comes word that Dave Sitek (of TV On The Radio) is dong the producing and I've been pretty impressed with his solo stuff, I adored Maximum Balloon a coupla years ago. But I am way unsure of this mix.

Liam told the Sun per  contactmusic.com: ''I hate the word 'experimenting', but we are definitely experimenting ''In five words, it's 'majestic', 'imperial', 'out there' and, er, what was the other one? Oh yeah, 'heavy'. 'It's different to the first. It's been heads down, none of that nonsense from the Nineties. We've got our shit t together. It feels like a really special album. You know when you normally go through a door and go, 'Er, I'm not really sure about that'. ''Well, we've fucking booted the door off the hinges.''

Perhaps, after Beady Eye relatively stiffed Liam feels he has nothing to lose or maybe he has (Lord help us) grown up. But either way… I dunno. I'm nervous!!!
