Thorns Of A Rose (Interlude) – Ru Paul – Spoken word shout out to “the sweet sensitive souls who uncovers life cruel hoax”… Ru Paul advises prayer and stillness and why not? It isn’t a song but I don’t think it was written for me abd its audience might appreciate the sentiment – C+

I Wonder – Swervedriver – An instrumental hazed out jam, sorta like one of their songs without words – B
stillness in woe – Purity Rings – lo fi prettiness – B-
FOAD – Kid Rock – A good chorus with a funny hook “fuck off and die”, the real problem is the terrible verses “eye eye eyes” verses. There is something so off putting about Rock and it isn’t his politics but rather the way in which he lost his way and is now simply a mediocre southern rocker. – C+
Second Wind – Kelly Clarkson – Amother whatever of what might well be Kelly’s worst album as she transforms herself from country star to MOR popster. Not bad but not much, some of this song is plain bad – C+
Murder In The City – Brandi Carlile – The album fails and one of its fundemntal responsibilities, to be consistently great. This song, for a sibling, is one of the better ones: a strange sad story about a suicide – A-
