Spank Rock Me, Baby
Spank Rock Me, Baby

Gully (Spank Rock With You) – Spank Rock – Don’t those beats sound manufactured? They’re like doubled up and then some tom toms are added, and just before that and during that a sonic boom and a lot of vocal “uhs” and a rapper who sounds an awful lot like a kiddie Snoop. Not bad at all – B+

Anti-Hero – The Smashing Pumpkins – I keep on thinking I overestimated the album but this hero zero anti-hero song concluding a great album shows no slackening of the reins – A

Micropheem (feat Slaughterhouse) – Prhyme – Not bad but if you’re gonna bring in these Eminem buddies shouldn’t the beats be more dramatic? – B

No Sound – Nervous Nellie – UK indie rock, not good not bad – B-

God I Get It – K. Michelle – Power ballad – B-

Note to Self – J. Cole – This is such a bore I think I overestimated the entire album – C

Give Me Love – E=40 – Chic’s “I Want Your Love” sampled to death – B

I Love You For All Seasons – The Revelations – Ghostface Killah’s production team plays it safe – B
