Making Love – Kevin Gates – This is off an album easy to underestimate but this has the sharp flow and speedy dexterity of the best in the business. It feels like make believe even though the rapping is sure real – B+
Win Again – Nicki Minaj – Just in case you were wondering what the point of all the soul searching actually was, it is to reinforce her sense of self – B+
Any Day Now – Chuck Jackson – Excellent old time soul singer brings an end to “Inherent Vice” – A
Finale/Children Will Listen – Emily Blunt, James Corden – The mostly happy ending and again it sounds like Sondheim one oh one – B
Auf Weidersehen –Cheap Trick – A roaring mess of rock and roll, this is what Cheap Trick must be like when they aren’t opening for somebody – B+
Another Life – D’Angelo – Sometimes it can take me awhile to hear an album and maybe that is the case here. This is obviously good, addled, messed with r&B. It has the essence of greatness but it is just too weird, it could be great and if it is I’m not hearing it – B
Need Ur Luv – Charley XCX – Takes you out with girl group glamminess – A
