We followed the trials and injustice thrown at singer Randy Blythe. Charged with manslaughter in a foreign country it was frustrating and scary to see how easy it is to be thrown in jail. A fan dies and justice must be served right?
I will always admire Blythe for for going back to stand trial. Trust me I am not that brave, I would have never toured there again and stayed clear of the Eastern block. Randy standing before his accusers clean shaven and proud is a metal image to admire. The integrity was amazing. Not a Pussy Riot spectacle, on the contrary, he was cool as ice.
Ther are lots of bills to pay. Legal defense domestically is astronomical, international representation is outrageous. So its time to put up your devil horns and support the band if only to show them that rockers stand together and to toss them some coin. The band will be launching a North American tour on May 16th in Asheville, NC. That tour will conclude on June 20th in Norfolk, VA.
After these spring dates they are off to Europe to cover tons of festivals and cities. Here is a tip STAY OFF THE FUCKING STAGE. Its dangerous, its stupid and security should be insane anyway.
