Japanese culture is weird, everyone knows this, and this is another proof (if you needed one) that Japanese people are the strangest people in the world. Apparently, Lady Gaga is also big in Japan (but where isn’t she?) and her new album ’Artpop’ was presented during a news conference on Sunday, in Tokyo, with four life-size dolls in silicone! They are so realistic you would think they have managed to clone her and in this case, they should keep all the copies locked in Japan.
But Gaga was totally gaga in front of the dolls, saying to the Tokyo manufacturers: ‘They look so much like me. I respect your art . . . and the detail you put into the dolls’.
I have to add that the manufacturers, Orient Industry, are specialized in synthetic ‘Love Dolls’, and after watching a documentary about this bizarre business of silicone women and the creepy affection some men have for them, I totally freaked out!
The Gaga dolls also have an amazing feature that probably doesn’t come with regular love dolls: by pressing your ear to their chest you can listen to Gaga’s songs and secret messages. These rubber things are expected to be used to advertise the singer’s new album, but can you imagine what will happen to them afterwards? They will be sold for lots of money and will end up in the bed of some old millionaire and be…., oh well just watch this documentary if you don’t know what I am talking about.
