What? I’m gonna lose some famous neighbors? The Real Estalker is reporting that Russell Brand and Katy Perry are about to sell their Los Feliz house. There are asking $3,395,000 for this 4,706 square feet, 4 bedrooms, 4-5 bathrooms, 4 stories mansion, a reasonable deal, considering they bought it for $3,250,000 in 2009, and if you look at the prices practiced in this Los Angeles neighborhood.
But why are they leaving? Look at the pictures, doesn’t it look cozy and nice? A Roman-style outdoor pool, a den, a lounge, a breakfast bar, a powder room, a ballroom sized master bedroom with 13-foot ceilings, numerous balconies with views of the city? It actually looks all renovated and trendy.
A few precisions: Perry converted the 3-car garage into a wardrobe styling room, and Brand planted a 25-foot-tall teepee in the yard for his wife!
But there's none of this on the pictures, the house looks unexplainably classy and there are no traces of Perry’s kitschiness or Brand’s colorful persona. Well, that’s because those are actually the pictures already used in the 2009 listing, before they bought the house. I wonder what the house looks like now, this is definitively too beige for this couple, is it pinker now? I bet Katy added more glitter but she could have shot her firework video from this balustrade surrounding the pool.
And I am sorry to report the house was already put into escrow, so too late for you potential buyers. And according to the Real Estalker, there is a rumor the couple is buying a much more expensive house, in the $10-15 million range in LA, I guess this one was becoming too small for their extensive lifestyle,.
Sure some auto-tuned bubble-gum pop and stupid English accent movies can make a lot of dough!
