Justin Timberlake Looking At 500K Units Moved next week

To quote Jack Nicholson "A Few Good Men", don't I look like the fucking asshole. Completely ignoring my dire warnings of doom and gloom on the Justin Timberlake front, JT is back with a vengeance:

1. He gave SNL a huge leap in ratings

2. He sold out Yankee stadium for one date and has added another July 19th and 20th.

3. Even our own Helen Bach who never likes anything is a fan.

4. And here is the reason for the post: he is on track to sell 500K units of The 20/20 experience when it is released next week.

That's a pretty hefty number, I mean it isn't Taylor Swift but even still, it is impressive enough isn't it? That is pre 21st century type numbers and given neither "Suit And tie" nor "Mirrors" are not  all that hot, it is clear what people love is Justin Timberlake. Me, I like him fine and though I haven't even streamed the newbie, the two songs I've heard give me the impression it isn't as good as his first two solo albums, or even No Strings Attached.

Justin looks cool and sounds resourceful and is certainly a charmer but he is a little old fashioned and the album isn't beat savvy enough. It could use a big time modern beats producer like a Guetta, even Dr. Luke would've kept the songs and heavied up the beats. At least on what i have heard. How does it compare to, say the new Rihanna beats wise? It doesn't appear to does, the "Suit And Tie" is a time shuttling weird song that doesn't click in the end. And Hova is completely pointless. "Mirrors" pays off but not till the last two minutes. What are you meant to do the rest of the day?

Look at it this way: when it comes to the first two songs, I was wrong about everything with Timberlake except for the music!
