John Doe, "Keeper"; Stream a Track a Day

John Doe, the twangy front man of the 80's punk band X has a brand new solo offering and well… its amazingly good.

I am not a country or a blues fan and Doe most definitely embodies that sound, but in "Moonbeam", it takes on a sultry dark sound rather than annoying whine.

In preparation for the release of this new album you can stream a song a day on Amazon, sorta sample the goods. I'm not going to lie, some of it is a bit Buck Owens(look it up) but some of this is just glorious.  A new track from the album will be posted every day at 10 a.m. Eastern time. It will stay up for 24 hours before the next song takes its place

At age 57 John seems to be staying the course, remaining very close to his roots and to his fans.  I cant help but wonder if he will grab an opportunity to throw down a song from Keeper on this X tour, I wouldn't mind.  Well, I wouldn't mind if it was "Moonbeam"

Aging gracefully can be done- Doe is proof.
