Joe Jackson Taking Duke Ellington On the Road

Here is a guy I;'ve had trouble getting behind for many, many years. Helen Bach swears by him, I swear at him. I loved Look Sharp, but ever since then I've thought him an eclectic bore. the one time I saw him live he bored me to death, and, his upcoming album, Duke, hits me as a dreadful concept.

Dropping  in late June,  The Duke is a buncha  Duke Ellington covers. Why bother? I don't see what anybody on the planet needs with Joe Jackson covering Duke Ellington. They are both pianist? And then what?

It sounds a little on the scary side, 15 songs over 10 tracks. Lotsa mental didggery do and guests like Iggy Pop and ?uestlove. Make you feel any better?  Me neither.  Incidentally, anybody who has a question mark in his name is an asshole by definition and the Roots suck.
