I hate Jimmy Kimmel I think he’s pretty much redneck scum. So much so that I omit his guests from my weekly column. I have to pause my hatred on a two fold issue.
1- The amazing Joan Jett is on his show tonight
2- The amazing Joan Jett is a bit of a hypocrite regarding her animal rights stance.
I adore Joan, really I do, as any punk rock girl should I hold her in a position of high regard. Whats not to love? Beautiful intelligent and tough as nails she is rocker perfection. She is also a devout vegetarian. So why Kimmel? The ass who chose redneck ‘Duck Dynasty’ reality show guests over animal activist Morrissey? I would have admired her so much more if she just offered her return to music ot any other late night show. I wont watch this. I’d rather die but she will be premiering her new single from her upcoming album “Unvarnished”. Be sure to tell me all about it- Im sure it will be steallar.
Jett has said in a statement that the album is “the most autobiographical she has ever released with songs about her parent’s deaths and victims of Hurricane Sandy. It’s a real band album. Everybody was involved”
Well the tracklisting is extensive- that’s for sure.
