Teaser shmeezer what is the deal with all the hype machines? First there was all the pre album hype for "Blunderbus", now as annoying as that was I still loved the album like crazy. Strangely enough I'm still listening to it nearly daily. Crazy huh?
But the album art, track listing, liner note, gift wrap pre sale, pre order nonsense is simply out of hand. They aren't going to run out of digital download copies of the album- no rush, everyone chill.
Now there are video teasers for upcoming music videos. This one is distinct rip off of the My Chemical Romance "Killjoys' road warriors. Silly isn't it- in all the bru ha ha it all comes back to a dude and his car. "Freedom at 21" is a fabulous song. Jack White (who was once so very handsome) looks like hell (note- over 25? don't die your hair black)
The song is one of the top three on 'Blunderbus', but really is there value to videos after the album has been out this long? There is no longer a forum (ahem..MTV) to showcase music video so I cant help but wonder why such expense is gone to for promotion- let alone trailer.
This splashy black and white is a good time for all the Grand Theft Auto fans. I cant see getting overly motivated with the predictable graphics but I suppose if it gets people to hear the song its worth the effort- and again the song is outstanding.
