Watching the VMAs or any other awards focusing on their own navel, Americans may be under the delusion that they are the center of the world and at the top of this brand of provocative/pop/dance/EDM business. Move over Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Nicky Minaj and Beyonce, here is Bleona, coming straight from Eastern Europe where she has already sold 1.5 million copies… They still buy albums over there, don’t they?
You may already have seen her as the breakout star of Bravo TV’s ‘Euros Of Hollywood,’ but if you don’t watch Bravo, just listen to ‘Take You Over’, her new single produced by Roccstar (who has worked with Chris Brown). Judging by the 15 seconds of video sent with the press release, this woman is a hot number, and if you listen to the lyrics of her EDM-mix via middle-East, you will learn very fast she is not afraid of her sex-appeal.
The song is your typical heavy-beat-dance-pop, Ibiza-club-ready track that Diplo and his friends will be too happy to remix again and again. Bleona’s vocals are bold and impulsive and in 15 seconds, she looks hotter than most of our current pop stars… her short but stunning promo actually looks like an ad for Las Vegas’ sexiest nightclub or some sumptuous desert palace I will never be invited to. This should not be a surprise as some big names were involved to direct the video: director Dennis Leupold (Rihanna, J-Lo), and director of photography Jeffrey Kelly (Beyonce ‘Drunk In Love’)… Bleona also teamed up with an impressive list of producers for her forthcoming album, which should drop early 2016: RoccStar (Usher, Chris Brown, J.Lo), Fuego (Sia, Iggy Azalea, Jason Derulo), and Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins (Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears)… Bleona is going to explode the charts. So forget the VMAs circus, she may be the next Bey-Riri thing, all combined in one single person, mixing classic glamour and dare-it-all erotic,… just Google this woman, she is not shy with her body and uses the selfie faster than KK.
She had already got a breakthrough with her 2013 single, ‘Take It Like a Man,’ which reached No. 7 on the UK charts, while her 2014’s fabulously tongue-in-cheek ‘Fuck You I’m Famous” made its way into steady rotation on SiriusXM. The video for ‘Take You Over’ will premiere on September 21st, while the single will be available in all remixes on September 18th at iTunes and digital outlets.
